JJ Rutherford
JJ Rutherford spent twelve years as the Director of Museum Programs at History Colorado, where her work included everything from overseeing the organization’s K12 and public programs to developing permanent exhibits for the History Colorado Center. JJ worked with teachers from across the state who either did not know about the Sand Creek Massacre or felt unprepared to teach about the horrible events and atrocities surrounding the Massacre. Her volunteer work with the Sand Creek Massacre Foundation stems from a hope that more people will know about the Sand Creek Massacre and all those who want to learn about the Massacre will have the resources and information they need to do so.
